Young people must have the opportunity to lead change within their communities. When girls, boys, women, and men are empowered with the skills they need for working life, they thrive. They can support themselves, their families, and their communities.

15 beneficiaries trained in tailoring, 15 beneficiaries trained in cattle rearing, 15 beneficiaries trained in phones repair, 15 beneficiaries trained in home care making to improve sustainability and to create job opportunities. Impacting lives!

Livelihood

Over the passed few months, COWACDI and partners; International Organization for Migration(IOM) with funding from the European Union (EU) was able to touch lives and change stories in Yusufari LGA, Yobe State, Nigeria through a livelihood intervention program. Sixty (60) beneficiaries from all round the LGA were given setup items after undergoing training to improve the standard of living of the people in Yusufari LGA. Our mandate is service to humanity!  

Non Food Items Distribution In Modusulumri

In line with the season and as in our vision to make a just world in which every vulnerable person attains Protection and Development COWACDI have distributed NFI (Non Food Items) in the community of Modusulumri of MMC LGA in Borno state, Nigeria. Service to humanity is our mandate, seasons greetings in advance.

Awareness and sensitization

We are proving that we can come together as a united human family to holistically tackle sexual exploitation and abuse, let us apply an equally comprehensive, vigorous, and unrelenting focus to eradicating gender-based violence as well.

Empowerment Programme

As part of our mission to mitigate the impact of the suffering of the vulnerable and affected population, Concern for Women and Children Development Foundation (COWACDI) and Hope Alive Care (HAC) in partnership with MCN and supported by the British Council with funding from the European Union were able to empower 50 affected persons by flood in Borno State.

COWACDI Organizational Capacity Building Assessment (OCA)

Six months ago, COWACDI was selected to participate in the Organizational Capacity-building Assessment (OCA) anchored by PACHE and funded by USAID, where the organization went through a series of capacity-building training ranging from administrative capacity, policy-making, program management, finance, monitoring & evaluations, and other key thematic areas that need strengthening. The results from the first and final OCA show a massive improvement in the abilities of the organization at large.

PSEA Awareness And Sensitization Campaign

The involvement of humanitarian workers in acts of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse is a grave violation of our responsibility to do no harm and to protect people affected by crises. COWACDI is firmly committed to the global fight to eradicate sexual exploitation and abuse through PSEA Awareness and Sensitization Campaign.
