NFI Distriburions

In line with our mission and vision “To mitigate the impact of the suffering
of the vulnerable” COWACDI distributed NFI’s (Funded by the Nigerian
Humanitarian Fund) in Bama LGA of Borno State, Nigeria. We are out to serve
humanity.

Activity

At COWACDI bringing out smiles in the faces of the vulnerable persons is our priority, making them feel safe and secured in their environment is our Mission and vision.

General Protection

COWACDI is mandated to provide protection to the affected persons, and is part of the cluster response to the needs of internally displaced persons in the areas of Protection, Shelter, Non-Food Items and Camp Coordination/Camp Management.

Livelihood

One of the strategic objectives of COWACDI is to raise awareness, promote policy and strategic approaches and advocate in favor of livelihoods actions.

Capacity Building

At COWACDI, we believe Capacity building can be specific to an intervention or more generally applicable to any intervention. Selecting staff carefully, providing high-quality training and building networks are crucial in developing individual and collective capacity within an organization.

NFI Distributions

At COWACDI, our approach to NFI distributions funded by NHF emphasizes the need for involving affected populations before, during and after distributions. The objective of the distributions is to ensure that the immediate personal needs of affected populations are covered and that a minimum level of dignity is ensured. We also ensure that these kits are culturally appropriate, and cater for the needs of all segments of the affected population in a non-discriminatory manner.

COWACDI NFI DISPATCH

Displaced persons have often been compelled to leave their places of habitant in a hurry and had to leave essential, personal and household items behind. The distribution of Non-Food Items (NFIs) is therefore an essential activity in the emergency phase. As part of our mission is to mitigate the impact of suffering of vulnerable and marginalized persons, COWACDI with funding by the NHF are on mission to distribute NFI relief items to the affected population. We believe that provision of these NFIs will support the dignity, health and privacy of affected populations, while simultaneously limiting exposure to further protection risks.
