World Breastfeeding Week 2026 | Strengthening Healthy Beginnings
World Breastfeeding Week 2026 | Strengthening Healthy Beginnings
As part of the World Breastfeeding Week 2026 commemoration, Concern for Women and Children Development Foundation (COWACDI), with support from the Nigeria Humanitarian Fund (NHF) and in collaboration with the Borno State Government, conducted community awareness and sensitization activities in Abbaganaram Community, Jere LGA, and Dala Community, MMC, Borno State.
Guided by this year’s theme, “Breastfeeding for a Sustainable Start in Life: Strengthen What Works,” the campaign emphasized the importance of exclusive breastfeeding, maternal nutrition, family support, and community involvement in giving every child the healthiest possible start in life.
Through community engagement and awareness creation, we continue to promote informed health practices that improve child survival, maternal well-being, and stronger, healthier communities.
Together, let’s strengthen what works and invest in a healthier future for every mother and child. #WorldBreastfeedingWeek2026
